Bike rental The cheapest place is obscurely located on Nanshan Lu (lakeside) towards the southern end of the eastern shore of Xi Hu (8am-8.30pm; ¥1 per hour, ¥200 deposit). Most of the big hotels now also rent bikes - the Huaqiao Hotel and the Wangguo each rent for ¥5-6 an hour, with a ¥400 deposit.
