Reading material should be no problem to find. Stalls all over town sell newspapers and magazines in English - the unnamed newsstand at the bottom of Nablus Road, opposite the Damascus Gate, carries a comprehensive range. Steimatsky also has a good selection, but often refuses to stock publications it doesn't like for political reasons. For music mags, Tower Records is the place to look. A number of places sell secondhand books in English. As well as Sefer VeSefel, they include Moffet at 1 Alliance Israelite (off Jaffa Road opposite the junction with HaNeviim), Dannys at 57 Jaffa Rd, Gur Avieh at 8 Yoel Salomon, Stein at 52 King George St, and The Bookshelf at the southern end of Jewish Quarter Road in the Old City. Tmol Shilshom at 5 Yoel Salomon is a café that also sells a few secondhand books. For low-priced postcards , try St Peter Souvenirs. In addition to the bookshops listed here, there's a store at the American Colony Hotel, which specializes in Middle Eastern literature.
