The main drinking area is around Sakae O-chome on the far eastern side of the central park. Here you'll find many multi-storey buildings, decked out in neon, where numerous nomiya , clubs, and more dubious establishments, are piled on top of each other. Traditional performing arts are well supported in Nagoya, with a newish No theatre opposite the castle and the grand Kabuki theatre Misono-za in the downtown area of Fushimi; for details of shows, contact the International Centre or check out the listings in the free city magazines. |
